As an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Wright provides care for a wide variety of surgical services providing local, IV sedation or general anesthesia.
These services include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Removal of impacted wisdom teeth (third molars). The removal of teeth as a result of fracture, decay, periodontal (gum) disease, or orthodontic considerations.
2. Preparation of the jaw for denture construction by specialized surgical techniques, such as skin or bone grafts and implants which aid in the stabilizing of dentures.
3. Oral implantology (dental implants). Dental implants are substitutes for lost or congenitally missing natural teeth. They may be used to support a single crown, a fixed or removable partial denture, and a fixed or removable complete denture.
4. Trauma patients with facial fractures, facial lacerations and other injuries.
5. Reconstruction of jaw discrepancies caused by growth disturbances or other reasons.
6. Facial reconstructive surgery by use of bone or synthetic material grafts.
7. Biopsies of oral lesions.
8. Management of patients with cancer of the oral and maxillofacial areas and reconstruction following cancer treatment.
